Newseum Assignment

I chose this cover because it has a really bright and prominent color pallete is really bright and very pretty.  don’t know what the articles are about but the colors used on the color are so feminine that I would almost think it’s a newspaper for women. The cover also has a good use of white space. The pictures and the articles and graphics blend well with each other and use white space effectively. The use of different font sizes also draws your attention to the different articles.

I liked this cover because the picture is so emotionally stirring. I think that if I was at a news stand and saw this I would have to buy this paper so I can see whats the story behind the picture. I also chose this cover because the word TRAGEDY is so promnent on the page that it’s almost as if it’s screaming at you. The cover is extremely simple but very touching I would definitely buy this paper.

This third cover that I chose was really intersting to me because unlike most covers feautturing female celebrites, this picture on this cover is overly photo-shopped or excessively edited. Amy Poehler looks like a real person and not a Barbie doll with porcelin skin. It makes the magazine feel more real like I took the picture and not a professional photographer. I think the colors they chose to use in the back ground and fot the font works really well together too.
